Elamipretide
China [CN] Elamipretide, also known as SS-31, MTP-131 and Bendavia, bears CAS registry number 736992-21-5 with molecular formula C₃₂H₄₉N₉O₅ and molecular weight of 639.79. Its amino acid sequence is H-d-Arg-dimethylTyr-Lys-Phe-NH₂, and it is also supplied as TFA salt form with purity over 99%. This peptide compound appears as a white to off-white hygroscopic solid with a predicted density of 1.34±0.1 g/cm³, sparingly soluble in methanol and water. Full structural references including Mol file, InChIKey and SMILES string are available for peptide synthesis and analytical testing. Classified as pharmaceutical peptide and peptide intermediate, Elamipretide functions as a novel mitochondria-targeted peptide, cardiolipin peroxidase inhibitor and mitochondrial antioxidant.
