Detailed Description
Wire-mesh demister is a compact separating layer with a certain thickness weaved by metal wire. It is horizontally mounted in container for removing liquid impurities from gas. When gas vertically flows through separating layer, liquid impurities are removed. It is recommended not to use demister to process dirty medium which may cause blocking, otherwise separating efficiency will be reduced Demister can be vertically or horizontally mounted. Production standard: GB150 or ASME VIII-1 Operating principle When gas containing mist rises at a certain speed to pass through wire mesh, the mist collides with wire due to inertia effect of mist rising and thus adheres to wire surface. After mist spreading, condensing and gravity settling on wire surface, bigger liquid drops formed by mist flows along wire to junction point of two wires. Wettability of wire, surface tension of liquid and capillary action of wire make liquid drops bigger and bigger and when agglomerative drop''''s gravity exceeds the resultant force of gas rising force and surface tension of liquid, the liquid separates from wire and drops. The separated gas basically does not contain mist. Demisting efficiency: Wire-mesh demister can remove 99~99.5% 2μm mist. Typical application: Wire-mesh demister is widely applied in petroleum and chemical industries to remove liquid impurities such as condensate and lubricant from gas and recycle products for pollution control.
