GTIVG series impulse test systems can be used to generate impulse voltages simulating lightning strokes(1.2±30%/50±20% μs), switching surges (250±10%/2500±10% μs) and chopped lightning waveforms. The generator carries out specific tests for industry and research applications. The generator can be used to test medium voltage and high voltage electrical apparatus, such as 1) Power transformers 2) Distribution transformers 3) Power cables 4) GIS and air-insulated circuit breakers 5) Insulator, 6) Bushings 7) Switchgears 8) surge arresters The operation including switching waveform is designed easier by our circuitry arrangement. The impulse voltage generator is designed for indoor operation. The total charging voltage ranges from 100kV to 7200kV with a per stage energy of 2kJ to 30kJ. The basic system can be upgraded in various ways for special tests or greater ease of operation. Different kinds of optional additional circuits and components can be included to optimize the impulse test system for tests on power transformers, instrument transformers, insulators, bushings, GIS and air-insulated circuit breakers and shunt reactor, etc. Advantages and Features 1) Reliable and accurate triggering by improved Marx circuit. 2) Equipped with wave shaping resistors for lightning impulse, switching impulse and chopped waveforms. 3) With the possible lowest internal inductance. 4) Sealed spark gaps with filtered air-flow. 5) Liquid insulation in the impulse capacitors is made of castor oil which offers optimal environmental compatibility (no PCB’s). The impulse capacitors have very low inductance, high quality and long service life. 6) Automatic earthing device for personnel and equipment safety. 7) A long service life is ensured. 8) Over-voltage protection, over current protection and fast voltage transients protection. Stable and precise communication between the measuring system and control system. 9) Reliable and precision controlled triggering unit by power pulse 10) Wave shape resistors are designed for low inductance and connected with easy joint 11) Easy operation with the console based on PLC module. The measuring system can communicated with the console. Optical-fiber also used for high reliability
