GF-2008W GPRS IP MODEM(DTU) is a plug and play communication Terminal for connecting any equipment with RS232/485 interface port to the Internet ,Including all the software and hardware components needs to transfer information remotely via the GPRS mobile networks .GF-2008W unleashes the power of M2M for a large range of equipment.
GF-2008W GPRS IP MODEM(DTU) is a new designed platform, supports GPRS network. There are many improvements, such as industrial class pluggable terminal, embedded RTOS and embedded TCP/IP stack driving by AT+I command interface and Enhanced EMI design.

GF-2008W GPRS IP MODEM(DTU) enables various kinds of legacy devices with serial port to communicate over GPRS network and the Internet easily and freely. It not only works as a GPRS Modem, but also can construct a smooth "GPRS Data Tunnel" between Host End and Remote End, ensuring an efficient communication for data transmission and remote device management. With 1 selectable RS-232/TTL/485 serial port, GF-2008 GPRS DTU is an ideal solution for factory automation, environmental monitoring and remote device management for M2M industry. Meanwhile, it is supplied with simple software interface that streamline application development process, freeing system integrators from dealing with complex communication protocols of GPRS and the Internet. Users do not need to change the existing system, saving cost and time for field maintenance, and making it a perfect solution for data transmission.

1) Transparent data transmission
GF-2008W GPRS IP MODEM(DTU) provides transparent data transmission (RS232 or RS485 interface) for machine to machine connectivity.

Normally, GPRS Modem can be connected to a PC, and then dial an access number manually; it utilizes PC??s OS resources to finish the data transmission and protocol conversion. GF-2008W GPRS IP MODEM(DTU) is a powerful communication terminal in witch the microprocessor, TCP/IP stack and application software are embedded ; it works automatically without host PC.
3) Point to point, and multi-point to point data transmission
GF-2008W GPRS IP MODEM(DTU) can be configured working in point to point, multi-point to point and center to multipoint network frames .

GF-2008W GPRS IP MODEM(DTU) will automatically attach to GPRS network when the power is on, and then set up one up to ten sockets to the center server..
