Introduction
Well distributed loose or dumpling mixture soft materials, such as powder materials, excipients and moist adhesives, are conveyed into the extrusion bin via the aperture, thus compact and irregular cylindrical extrudates are formed.
Columned materials are cut by the snaggleteeth in the centrifugal rotary table into identical short cylindrical granules (in proportion with the diameter of the column). Because of the comprehensive effects of the centrifugal force, the friction among granules, fluted disc, and inner wall, as well as the air driving force between the rotary table and cylinder, all the granules, under the three-dimensional spiral rolling movement, are instantly rounded into pellets by the uniform kneading effect.
