General The ADS-702C ADSL2+ Tester is a hand-held communication instrument that supports batteries as power supply, and has a large screen with English display. This product is particularly applicable for the field cutover, acceptance and maintenance of ADSL equipment, and can be widely used by ADSL business operators like China Telecom, China Rail Company, etc, and is the best choice of ADSL engineers and technicians. Major Features • LCD large-screen display, 320*240 lattice, backlight, LED indicator • Hand held, built-in lithium cell allow 6 hours • Multi-task support (test and browsing previous records at one time) • Store 100 test results and 7 test configurations, with power-off memories • RS232 connect with PC, store, analysis and print • Software updating Major Functions For ADSL physical layer: • Fast channel and interleave channel. • Line parameters testing: up and down channel rate, line attenuation, noise margin, transmitting power, and use rate of channel. • Performance analysis of line error and alarm: - Automatic detection and display of such alarms as signal loss, frame loss, power loss and cell loss etc. at proximal end and remote end. - Detection of fatal error frame count at proximal end and remote end; - Detection of power loss count at proximal end and remote end; - Detection of signal loss count at proximal end and remote end; - Detection of interleave channel FEC forward error correcting code count at proximal end and remote end; - Detection of fast channel FEC forward error correcting code count at proximal end and remote end; - Detection of interleave channel CRC error frame count at proximal end and remote end; - Detection of fast channel CRC error frame count at proximal end and remote end; - Detection of interleave channel HEC error frame count at proximal end and remote end; - Detection of fast channel HEC error frame count at proximal end and remote end; - Detection of interleave channel NCD error frame count at proximal end and remote end; - Detection of fast channel NCD error frame count at proximal end and remote end; - Detection of interleave channel OCD error frame count at proximal end; - Detection of fast channel OCD error frame count at proximal end. • DMT sub-channel carrier pattern Display modulated bit numbers on each DMT sub-channel by diagram and digital • Display user’s connection state and testing progress at real time, and present information of local equipment manufacturer and version. For ADSL network layer: • ISP PING test Verify the connection of user to ISP provider. • LAN PING test Verify the PC in connection failure within LAN. • WAN PING test Directly PING the website IP to local WAN to verify the connectivity of WAN link. • Instead of ADSL MODEM to test Internet wire speed and flow available for the user. • Simulated ISP logon instead of ADSL modem to check the operating performance of users’ terminal equipment. • PPPOE dialing can know the users’ dynamically distributed IP websites. For ADSL line: • Digital multi-meter (DMM) test Test AC/DC voltage, loop resistance, insulation resistance, capacitance, etc. • Subscriber telephone connectivity test Built-in separator connected an external phone to verify the connectivity of user’s phone. • Estimate the distance of subscriber telephone wire.
