MC8780 and MC8781 PCI Express Mini Cards Featuring Next Generation 3G HSUPA Technology The tri-band MC8780 and MC8781 PCI Express Mini Cards, built using the MSM7200™ Mobile Station Modem™ chipset from QUALCOMM, offer uplink data rates of up to 2.0 Mbps, and downlink data rates of up to 7.2 Mbps. The MC8780 and MC8781 PCI Express Mini Card embedded modules offer connectivity to all three HSDPA/UMTS frequency bands (850, 1900, 2100 MHz) and all four EDGE/GPRS bands (850, 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz) used worldwide, allowing seamless global roaming on the best available network. To simplify and expedite product development cycles, Sierra Wireless also provides system integrators and OEM customers comprehensive software development kits (SDK) or Sierra Wireless' own Watcher™ software for easy connection management. Each module measures 51 x 30 x 4.5 mm and weighs in at less than 12 g, and comply with new European Union directives on RoHS (Restrictions on Hazardous Substances).
