Effects and Functions: The salicin is hydrolyzed and oxidated into saligenol and salicylic acid in vivo after being taken. So salicin has antipyretic effect, analgesic effect amd anti-rheumatic effect. 4%-10% solution of salicin has anti-rheumatic effect. It is bitter in flavour, and can strengthen the stomach. If the sheep is injected this product in its mouth, it will chew more and the salivation will be promoted, thus helps to digest. This product has the effects of expelling the wind, diuresis, abirritation, detumescence. It also can cure rheumatic pain, gonorrhoea, cloudy urine, anuresis, infectious hepatitis, swelling, furuncle, erysipelas, decayed tooth and ngivitis.
