At present, reactive compensator and voltage regulation in most local power system are still adjusted by traditional methods. For example, on-load tap distributor and electro-static capacitor are adjusted only by hand, not achieving voltage regulation or real-time reactive compensator. The power actor in power devices and operation of illuminating circuit is much lower than that of power distributor at long transmission line, which causes large electric circuit energy loss, heating, aging; in addition, aging devices and insufficient distributor. Reactive compensator, the energy-saving technology that has been widely used in international developed countries is a good device to solve mentioned problems. Automatic reactive compensator produced by XINWEILI Company adopts automatic control technology and uses self-healing low-voltage shunt capacitor as compensating elements which contains protection device and discharge resistance. Self-healing low-voltage shunt capacitor adopts most advanced technology and is produced with metallized film of edge-thickened complex ZN-AL, thus the quality of this product could meet National Standard of GB12749-91 and International Standard of IEC831-1. Principle of reactive compensation: Based on national regulation “guideline on voltage and reactive power technique of power system”, reactive compensation and voltage regulation perform as follows: A. Combination of total balance and partial balance B. Combination of power compensation and users’ compensation C.Combination of decentralized compensation and centralized compensation D.combination of loss reduction and voltage regulation, mainly for loss reduction Reactive compensation should be compensated and balanced by grades of voltage and districts, avoiding long reactive power transmission. Principle: Install compensator beside inductive and then connect them for parallel operation, which produce capacitive current to cancel the reactive current of inductive load, achieving the goal of improving power factor and saving power. Usually it can increase the capacity of power distributor and save the electric power, respectively ranging from %15~%35. Therefore, it extends the operation life of apparatus and illuminating devices. A.
