Detailed Description

Yunnan modern woodcarving strong-colored painting was researched and created by the painter Han Haotao in the early 1980s. Han Haotao (once named Han Xiaotao), male, Han nationality, a member of Shanxi art association, was born in Xi’an in 1960. He liked painting since he was a child and became well-educated through self-learning. In the 1990s, he went to Yunnan to research the nationality culture, researching and studying the Dongba culture and modern Yunnan painting skills, thus he was good at combining the western and Chinese painting styles, and combining the ancient Naxi art and modern art. Through constant innovation, he finally found out his own way and created a batch of newly-designed paintings recognized by the society. In 2001, he was invited to hold a paintings exhibition in California, the U.S.A., highly-appraised by the experts.
