The Expobar Brewtus IV is a dual boiler commercial and prosumer espresso machine equipped with a vibration pump. Two copper boilers let this Expobar dedicate one exclusively to brewing and the other to steaming, frothing and dispensing hot water. New to the fourth generation of the Brewtus line is a dedicated switch that will allow you to turn off the steam boiler and operate with just the brew boiler. Doing so will result in quicker warm-up time as well as yield lower operating costs in the long run.
The Expobar Brewtus IV has a large 90oz reservoir with an integrated water softener. The water tank can be removed for hassle-free refilling and maintenance.
An Electronic Boiler Refill Control monitors water levels within your steam and brew boilers to prevent a dry boil. It will activate and refill the boilers with water from the reservoir or plumbed line if levels are low. It can also turn the boilers off, if they are dry to guard against damage to the machine.
The PID Control uses pulses of electricity to make sure that the brew boiler is evenly heated and prevent pockets of temperature variation from forming in the first place. The controller can be used to adjust boiler temperature, as necessary, to accommodate a variety of coffee roasts.
If you only want to use the steaming and hot water dispensing functions of the Expobar Brewtus IV, you can turn off the brew boiler. To turn it off, just push and hold the "up" arrow on the digital display for 2 seconds, the display will then say "off." To turn it back on, push and hold the "up" arrow for two seconds.
