E19 is a brown to redish liquid with low viscosity&100% solids. Zero vapor pressure & low molecular weight with strong polarity, will absorb moisture if exposed to air. E19 itself has a resistance to 5 ^10 ohm,when added to the system, a minimum system resistance of 6-10 ohm can be realized.
Solubility
E19 show excellent acceptance in hydrophilic solvents and diluents like water, methanol, ethanol, isopropanoland acetone. It is not soluble in hydrocarbons (e.g. heptane, cyclohexane) and ethers (MTBE,THF, dioxane). It is soluble in polyether and polyester polyols as well as common diols (butane diols).
Compatibility
E19 can be formulated with polyether, polyester and polyacrylate polyol resins.Sometimes polyol-EAROY E19-combinations may result in turbid but stable emulsions at higher EAROY E19 concentrations. Because of numerous resins available in the market the formulator needs to carefully check compatibility and storageproperties before use.
Formulation
E19 is designed for the use in PU footwear, cast elastomer and foam formulations.The E19 accept mixing with polyol and/or diol chain extender component or dosage as a separate streamIt is not recommended to add the EAROY E19 product to isocyanate components nor NCO prepolymers. Regular amount of EAROY E19 in polyurethane systems ranges from 0.5 to 5% depending on the resistivity requirements, calculated on total system. At higher concentration exudation might occur.Like other low molecular weight additives and plasticizers the use of EAROY E19 has a softening effect on the polyurethane properties. High amounts of solid conductivefillers (eg. carbon black, conductive pigments,carbon nano tubes) in formulations or polymers reduce the elasticity, flexibility and break elongation. The combination with EAROY E19 has a synergistic effect. It improves relaxation and reduces the total amounton conductiveadditives. The available product E19 hardly absorb UV-light. To existing knowledge, selection of photo initiators is not interfered by the use of EAROY E19.
E19 is hygroscopic. Therefore keep containers tightly closed and avoid handling at high humidity. If possible,exchange air in opened containers by dried air or nitrogen. Tightly reseal opened bags after use. For best handling E19 should be stored at 20-30°C in its oriainally sealed containers in a clean and dry environment.
