Tetramisole, which is nontoxic orally, was tested in 14 different hosts with all adult and juvenile gastrointestinal and pulmonary nematode worms in a potent low-dose injectable drug.Tetramisole (10 μg/mL) induced continuous contraction of the isolated muscles of the worm.Tetramisole acted on the worms' muscles, reducing their resting potential from 34 mV to 10 mV and eliciting the muscle twitch response previously stimulated directly or indirectly by high K Tetramisole (0.1 mM) in cats.Tetramisole (0.1mM) acted on chickens to enhance the preparation of the twtic response and reverse the inhibitory effect of Tubocurarine, producing reversible neuromuscular block and muscle contracture
