what is the design difference between double injection mold and overmold for the Bosch tool handle
BOSCH is a famous tool maker in the world.The plastic raw material must be passed REACH,ROSCH,PDAH.Also the color
combination is more critical,usually choose 2 different colour,one is Blue for ABS part,and black for TPE.
During the design,sometimes choose double injection molding,sometime ultilize overmolding,which is determined by the parts structure.
For big size parts and small area covered by TPE,we choose overmolding.but big size,and most of out surface covered by another material,
we usually use double injection.Below is the design requirement.
The design requirement of tool hand double injection mold:
1)3-plate,pin-point gate and LKM moldbase,hign value product choose DME,HASCOE moldbace
2)Steel of core and cavity:420 standard with 48-52HRC
3)Standard parts:DATO,POUNCH,DME,HASCOE
The requirement of double inejction molding:
1)ABS/TPU(TPE),PA+15%GF/TPE(TPV,TPU),Choose the right hardness of TPE/TPU according to the working conditions.
2)Complex mold structure need part dropping automatically or ROBOT army
3)Molding circle time is 30s-45s
Because it is contact working surface,the adhesion for the combination of two different material is more critical.
