Gabion baskets manufactured from double twisted hexagonal woven steel wire mesh or welded wire mesh by wire machine, filled with stones at the project site to form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures. The steel wire used in the manufacture of the gabion is heavily Galfan coated soft temper steel wire or PVC wire. To reinforce the structure, all mesh panel edges are selvedge with a wire having a greater diameter. The wires have a maximum tensile strength of 75 000 psi.
Gabion baskets have the features of simple installation, no special technology needed, corrosion resistant, economic, mixed to form a integrity with the natural environment.
Gabion baskets are general used for slope support, foundation pit, mountain rock hanging mesh shotcrete, slope vegetation (green). it is also made cages mat for rivers, dams and anti-erosion protection seawall and reservoirs, closure cages of rivers. Our gabions materials can also be HDPE coated, which is corrosion resistant and acid resistant. The HDPE coated woven gabions mattresses is a good solution for coastline, which is a undulating terrain and a high level of acid in industrial waste.
