Mosaic lacquer painting, a completely hand made craftwork, came into being in 7 century, which take the Chinese lacquer from sumac as the main material. The Chinese lacquer has been mixed with other material and then apply the theory and technique of coiling, twining, piling up, engraving, hollowing out, etc. during the whole program of its making. After dozens of processing, the finished product can be exhibited in front of people after it has been glued with bullion leaf. The themes of the mosaic painting introduces expressions of Chinese traditional art such as dragon and phoenix, kylin, cloud and water, curling branches, and other objects, for example, bird, beast, worm, and fish.
