Its melting point and boiling point are -11.73℃ and -159.4℃ respectively. It is slightly soluble in water and soluble in ethanol and ethyl ether. Explosive mixture with explosion limits to be 1.9%～8.4% (volume)  will be generated after mixing with the air. It mainly exists in natural gas, refinery gas and pyrolysis gas after physical separation or isomerization of normal butane. APPLICATION SCOPE   Isobutane R600a is used as aerosol, foaming agent for foamed plastic and ultraslow temperature refrigerant to substitute R12 and R134a in refrigerator, freezer and other small low temperature refrigeration equipment (applied on low temperature refrigeration equipment with less filling amount) and be applied in -80～-120℃ ultraslow temperature refrigeration equipment.
