Detailed Description
RFID tag is the popular name of radio-frequency identification (RFID), which consists of tags, readers, data transmission & processing system 3 pars. Tag is also known as electronic tags or smart tags, it is a memory chip with antenna, the chip stores information which can identify targets. RFID tag has the characteristics of vitality, good penetration in information dissemination, large storage capacity, and type utility. Some RFID tag supports read and write capabilities, information about an object can be updated at any time. The reader is divided into hand-held and fixed two types, and consist of transmitter, receiver apparatus, the control module and transceiver components. Transceiver connects with control computer or programmable logic controller (PLC) to achieve communication functions. The reader also has an antenna to receive and transmit information. Data transmission and processing systems: tag reader receive and read data by receiving radio waves issued by tags. The most common one is passive RF system, when the reader meets RFID tags, electromagnetic waves is emitted, electromagnetic field is formed around the tags, tag obtains energy from electromagnetic field and get the microchip circuit inside of tag to be activated, chip converts electromagnetic waves, and then send to reader, the reader convert them into the related data. Control computer is processing these data to achieve management and control. In active RF system, tag is equipped with a battery and activate in a valid range. RFID electronic tag type: RFID electronic tags have many different classifications according to different criteria. Classified in operation frequency: Operation frequency of tags is one of its most important features. It not only determines the operation principle of radio frequency identification system (inductive coupling or electromagnetic coupling), identification distance, but also determines cost of equipment and the level of difficulty of communication between tags & reader.Electronic tags have different features based on different frequency channel or frequency point. The frequency channel or frequency points occupied by RFID application are divided according to generally recognized principles, which stand in ISM wave band. Typical operating frequency are: 125kHz,133kHz,13.56MHz,27.12MHz,433MHz,902~928MHz,2.45GHz,5.8GHz etc.
