Ribolla Gialla (also known as Ribolla, in Slovenian: Rumena rebula) is a white Italian wine grape grown most prominently in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeast Italy. The grape is also found in Slovenia where it is known as Rebula. GRAPE VARIETY: Ribolla Gialla single varietal wine. TYPE OF TERRAIN: Clayey and limy soil rich with microelements. CULTIVATION: Guyot, plant density 5,000 Plants/Ha. HARVEST PERIOD: End of August. VINIFICATION: Soft pressing af the grapes, fermentation at controlled temperatures and maturation in steel vats for a few months. CELLARING POTENTIAL: 2-3 years from production. COLOUR: Brights straw yellow. NOSE: Characteristic, intense and marked with floral nuances and a hint of grass. FLAVOUR: Fresh and elegant on the palate with balanced acidity and sapidity, mineral aftertaste with good persistence. PAIRINGS: Excellent as an aperitif, goes well with soups and savoury fish dishes. SERVING TEMPERATURE: Approx. 8-10C. PACKAGING: 0,75 lt. bottle, bottled in cartons containing 6 bottles.
