Detailed Description

Hastelloy C-276 Wire is a Nickel-Molybdenum-Chromium alloy with the addition of Tungsten, has excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of corrosive media and is especially resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion. Hastelloy C-276 has excellent resistance to pitting, stress-corrosion cracking and oxidizing atmospheres up to 1900°F (1037.8℃). It has exceptional resistance to a wide variety of chemical environments. Hastelloy C-276 Wire has outstanding resistance to a wide variety of chemical process environments including ferric and cupric chlorides, hot contaminated mineral acids, solvents, chlorine and chlorine contaminated (both organic and inorganic), dry chlorine, formic and acetic acids, acetic anhydride, sea water and brine solutions and hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions. Specification of Hastelloy C-276 Wire Diameter of wire - 0.05mm-10.0mm Characteristics of Hastelloy C-276 Wire:- 1. The alloy is resistant to wet chloride gas, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions. 2. The alloy has an exceptional resistance to strong solutions of oxidizing salts, such as ferric and cupric chlorides. 3. The alloy is suitable for many chemical process applications. Applications of Hastelloy C-276 Wire:- 1. Digester and bleach plants in the paper industry. 2. Components exposed to sour gas. 3. Equipment for flue-gas desulfurization plants. 4. Evaporators, heat exchangers, filters and mixers used in sulphuric acid environments. 5. Sulphuric acid reactors.
