Bearing steel Grits

Bearing steel grits are produced by bearing steel grit after heat treatment. Steel grits have 

high resistance and is a kind of hard product preferred for many surface operations. Steel grits 

has been divided into three groups of different hardness according to their intended purpose.

Hardness selection

GP Steel Grits Hardness: 40 - 50 HRC

They have sharp and angular structure and a kind of material that generally used for the 

cleaning purposes.

According to GL and GH quality products, GP steel grits are softer than GL and GH qualities 

and have been lost their sharpness and angular structure by abrading in short period during 

usage.

GL Steel Grits Hardness: 53 - 60 HRC

They are much harder products than GP and have sharp and angular structure. During 

blasting, if even not quickly as GP, they lose their sharpness and angular features gradually. 

Generally are used in painting,operations before coating and surface preparation.

GH Steel Grits Hardness: >60HRC

They are kind of product that has maximum hardness among steel grits. They have sharp 

and angular structure and they are not lost their sharp and angular features during operations. 

They are used surface cleaning of high hardness products and surface roughening operations 

effectively. Provides homogenous surface appearance. GH steel grits are used in granite 

cutting operations.
