Rapeseed is commonly used as animal feed, vegetable oil for human consumption, and biodiesel. Also known as canola oil, rapeseed oil is one of the leading sources of vegetable oil and protein meal. In fact, the production of rapeseed is growing steadily all over the world. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), about 58.4 million tons of rapeseed were produced in the years 2010-2011.
Crude rapeseed oil is extracted from the seeds of the rapeseed plant and it can be used in production of different types of biodiesel mainly B100 Biodiesel, a 100% Biodiesel that is produced from oilseeds, crude vegetable oil, refined vegetable oil and waste vegetable oil.
