The type of welding application determines which type of fabrics are needed. -Light Duty Welding Blankets(13OZ to 18OZ) - general purpose welding, light sparks, minimal spatter -Medium Duty Welding Blankets (20OZ to 30OZ)- heavier welding, sparks, spatter, light slag -Heavy Duty Welding Blankets (32OZ to 50OZ)- heavy sparks, spatter, slag, possibility of molten metal Difference between coated welding blankets and uncoated welding blankets: -Coated fabrics offer better abrasion and burn through resistance. They are stiffer which allow spatter and slag to roll off more easily. -Uncoated fabrics are more pliable and are easier to drape over and wrap around objects. Fire Welding Blankets Properties: 1) Material: Fiberglass or Fiberglass with kinds of coating 2) Specifications 1.Light Duty Welding Blanket: 13 ~ 18OZ. 2.Medium Duty Welding Blanket: 20 ~ 30 OZ 3.Heavy Duty Welding Blanket: 32 ~ 50OZ 3) Applications: •apply to light/medium/heavier sparks,spatter and slag •550~1400°C •more pliable,making it easier to frap over and wrape around objects •can be vertical(hanging) and horizontal(flat)application.Thinner materials recommanded vertical, heavier materials recommander horizontal and/or with higher temperature rating. •thickness:0.2mm~1.0mm •Finished blanket size may vary with or without eyelets in height and width.
