Detailed Description
1. Tool steels include cold work tool steels, hot work tool steels and plastic mould tool steels.
2. Cold work tool steels are used for cutting and pressing tools, for dies and knives, for stamping and drawing tools, hobs, thread rolling tools and in many other applications due to their typical properties - high hardness, good toughness and great resistance against wear, impact and bending.
3. Hot work tool steels are required in tools for stably keeping every mechanical properties, especially resistance to heat checking, erosion resistance, increased hot strength. During working, it need adopt a constant temperature above 300°C, they are mainly used for die casting, extrusion, continuous casting and die forging.
