Detailed Description
Inconel 625 high temperature alloy
Features and applications overview:
Inconel 625 is solid solution nickel-based superalloy strengthened by molybdenum and niobium. The alloy has excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance. From low temperature to 950°C, it has good tensile and fatigue properties, and it is resistant to stress corrosion in salt fog atmosphere. Therefore, it can be widely used in the manufacture of aviation engine parts, aerospace structural components and chemical equipment.

The metallurgical structure of Inconel625:
In the solid solution state, the alloy is austenitic matrix and phase of a amount of TiN, NbC and M6C. After long-term aging of 650-900°C, the phase of precipitation is γ"、δ、M23C6 and M6C.
The process performance and requirements of Inconel625:
The alloy has good hot and cold formability. The ingot forging heating temperature is 1120°C.
The average size of the grain size of the alloy is closely related to the forging deformation degree and the final forging temperature.
The alloy has good weldability. The alloy can be argon arc welded using tungsten electrode under protective atmosphere or can be treated as additional material to do argon arc welding. It also can be used in brazing connection and resistance seam welding.
Surface treatment process: caustic wash before removing the alloy surface oxide, then pickling in the pin acid, hydrofluoric acid, and aqueous solution.
In cold processing when the amount of processing is larger than 15%, annealing shall be carried out after heat processing.
