1.3 The use of Benzyl alcohol
Benzyl alcohol is a very useful solvent due to its low vapor pressure and low toxicity, mainly used as paint solvent, ink solvent, organic glass solvent, pen oil solvent, Synthetic resin solvent, Meat print oil solvent and pharmaceutical solvent; Silicone solvent stabilizer, PVC stabilizer; intermediates for ether or benzyl ester; Benzyl alcohol also excellent perfume fixative; essences of daily cosmetics and soap; jasmine, tuberose and yilan essences-oil synthesis. Benzyl alcohol is also used in another fields, such as carpets degreaser agent and weld cleaning agent.
