Barbed wire is best known as inexpensive fencing option and is used atop walls surrounding secured properties. A person or animal trying to pass through or over barbed wire will suffer discomfort and possibly injury. When used on conjunction with woven or welded wire fencing, barbed wire can be very effective at preventing large animals from breaking down fences and keeping smaller animals from digging under a fence line. Zinc coatings prevent corrosion of the protected metal by forming a physical barrier and by acting as a sacrificial anode if this barrier is damaged. PVC/PE coating barbed wire comes in a variety of colors, such as green, blue, yellow, orange, gray, etc. PVC/PE coatings provide better corrosion protection and prevent the protective layers from wear and tear.
