Mapex is offering lighter-weight, and less bulky appointments with the Meridian Series. From tom holders, to lugs, to even their tom mounting system, Mapex has rethought everything on this kit to bring a lighter, easier to set up, and more tour-friendly set to the table. This Maple 6-piece Studioease drum set is appointed with 6-ply, 100% maple shells that produce full-bodied, rich, low tones. Some of the main appointments include the ITS Mounting System, which has minimal contact for better tone, and the tom holders with an extra position for holding a cymbal arm. This set also features a full set of double-braced stands and a solid kick drum pedal with a Tri-Tonal Beater. The shells feature Mapex's I.T.S. Mounting System that reinforces the commitment to less is more. It is compact while continuing to enhance the overall drums response, by mounting to the lug casings for less shell contact. It also enables you to change drumheads while the tom is still mounted to the tom holder. The Tom holders included are light with little bulk, offering a sleek look and a light overall load. They are double tom mounts with a third middle position for adding a cymbal arm (not included), to make for less tripod stands on the floor, and more corner friendly. These feature form-fitting memory locks, designed to fit the bottom contour of the mounting bracket for a quick and easy setup night after night without slipping.
