Detailed Description
Properties: Clear, colorless, pracitically odourless, syrupy liquid with sweetish taste. Diethylene glycol is extremely hygroscopic, miscible in proportions with water, alcohols, glycolethers, acetone, cyclohexane and esters.
Applications: Diethylene glycol is used as humectants and plasticizer in the preparation of adhesive, casein, cork and tobacco; As solvent for printing ink, nitrocallulose and many dye and oils; Dehydrotion of natural gas.
