Detailed Description
For some, the E-112 is Argon's top-of-line triathlon bike. Similar to the E-114 in that both are fabricated using the same mold, the 112, too, stands out for its stable, solid feel, superior aerodynamics and ease of control even during moments of all-out effort. FEATURES AFS tri/T.T. geometry: A unique, adapted geometry, with razor-sharp steering and unparalleled stability, even in situations where it is impossible to stay on the tribar extensions with other bikes. Every dimensional aspect has been defined in order to maximize bike control, even at extreme levels of exertion. A longer wheelbase increases stability, but where the extra length is situated is important for balanced performance. 400mm chainstays ensure proper chainline alignment, for faultless, dependable shifting. Aerodynamics When Torbjorn Sindballe established a new record for the bike split at Kona, his average speed was just over 40kph. This is a realistic speed for aerodynamic bike testing in a wind tunnel, so Argon's data is based on this speed. 6055 HM Carbon Fiber 6055 composite lends itself very well to the tight bends involved in making aero-section tube shapes, without losing strength. While the E-112 goes without the ONEness concept front end and AHB 5000 integrated handlebar, 6055 composite gives the frameset performance properties that approximate the E-114’s. As a result, the two bikes largely share a solid, confidence-boosting feeling of control and efficiency for maximum forward motion. 3D Headtube The 3D Headtube allows for three head tube heights for every frame size. The added front-end rigidity means ultra-tight handling when on the tri bar extensions and brings other benefits too: A perfect position tailored to each individual’s physical proportions and riding preferences. 3D also lets a rider change position as fitness, experience and preferences evolve. A more upright position need no longer compromise steering accuracy. Greater rigidity than with standard headset spacers: +5% at 10mm +11% at 20mm Specifications : Frame 6055 HM Monocoque Carbon Fork E-112 Full Carbon Headset FSA Orbit 1 1/8" Integrated Seatpost ASP-6000 Carbon Front Derailleur Type Braze-On Required Bottom Bracket Type 68mm - English Threaded Weight est. 1425 grams
