D&L8001 Emulsion Polymer Isocyanate (EPI) adhesives are two-component adhesives based on reaction of a mixture of water based emulsions of SBR, EVA and PVAc type with an isocyanate hardener (crosslinker) forming water-resistant bonds. They can be classified as thermoplastic adhesives with properties very close to thermosetting adhesives. EPI adhesives can be formulated in many ways to give the optimal performance with respect to water resistance, curing speed, type of substrate, strength and viscosity in each bonding operation. D&L8001 EPI used mainly for solid wood lamination and finger jointing. D&L8001 can also be used for gluing different plastic foils to wooden boards, eg. doors, composite plywood and panel for loading platforms. D&L8001 EPI adhesives are cold-setting with very good adhesion to difficult hardwoods and are fast curing even at high wood moisture content. For optimum use, it is recommended that the D&L8001 products are used together with a suitable mixing equipment. The D&L8001 adhesives are capable of meeting various performance criteria required by different standards such as JAS, EN and ASTM. Application: This adhesive is used with an Isocyanate hardener(100:15 by weight) to give the cured adhesive bond high water and temperature resistance, it reaches the standard of DINEN204 D4 and JAS-2053.
