6180u is a USB GSM modem working for cellular gsm networks.
USB GSM modem contains usb gprs modem and usb edge modem.
It's a USB internet modem. Simply speaking, it's just for internet connection.
Normally, we can call GSM modem a 2g modem, GPRS modem for 2.5g modem, and EDGE modem for 2.75g modem.
USB GSM GPRS modem works with GPRS network, back compatible to GSM network.
USB GSM EDGE modem works with EDGE, GPRS and GSM networks, providing 384kbps internet data speed.
With this excellent GSM GPRS modem or GSM GPRS EDGE modem dongle, you can use your mobile phone providers' SIM card to get access to the internet, MMS, SMS, and make and receive calls.
Simple to use just put your SIM card into the modem and then your modem into the PC.
What is required to start use with USB GSM GPRS EDGE modem?
1. A sim card with GSM GPRS business or GSM EDGE business.
2. GSM/GPRS/EDGE signal is available.
3. A laptop or PC is available for the USB GSM modems.
Notes: before using the USB internet modem, it requires drive installation for the PC or laptops.
