Detailed Description
CANEX Birch Plywood for Flooring Base This birch plywood is used to make multi-layer composite flooring, it can be platform (cross band without f/b veneers) or with f/b veneers. Material for this plywood is recommended with birch, eucalyptus, pine or poplar etc. Due to its strict requirement on quality, we take care of each step from choosing material till delivery, so our quality is 100% ensured! Do not worry about the moisture content of our plywood, we give drying to each veneer and keep the rate being within 10% for finished products! T&G (Tongue & Groove) Plywood The tongue and groove joint is widely used for re-entrant angles. The effect of wood shrinkage is concealed when the joint is beaded or otherwise moulded. In expensive cabinet work, glued dovetail and multiple tongue and groove are used. Tongue and groove or T&G is a method of fitting similar objects together, edge to edge, used mainly with wood: flooring, parquetry, panelling, and similar constructions. Tongue and groove joints allow two flat pieces to be joined strongly together to make a single flat surface. Before plywood became common, tongue and groove boards were also used for sheathing buildings and to construct concrete formwork. Characteristics: CANEX T&G (Tongue & Groove) Plywood is considered easy T&G's tongue and groove is designed to: • Enable fast, problem-free installation • Prevent buckling by accommodating panel expansion due to moisture changes • Prevent wedging action that exert damaging splitting forces • Accommodate field applied adhesives • Provide a uniform, ridge-free surface Applications: Floor and heavy roof sheathing for residential, commercial and industrial construction. Storage and Handling The CANEX T&G profiles are sturdily built and designed to engage even when wet. But dry, undamaged panels install faster and easier, so maximize the time you can save by following these suggestions on the job site: Cover plywood bundles with plastic or tarp. Use three supports as dunnage to prevent sagging. Engineered Flooring Engineered Flooring with Wood Veneer, Big Bevel Maple and Three-layer Base Engineered wood, too, is real wood. It is a sandwich of 1/16" to 1/8" of finish wood on top and non-finish plywood underneath. It's actually better to have plywood underneath. The middle layer of plywood is laid cross-ways to the finish layer, providing additional strength to the flooring. So, what you're looking at is 100% genuine wood. Characteristics: The advantage of engineered wood flooring versus laminate is that engineered wood can be sanded after scratches and dings develop. Two catches, though: ·Limited Sanding - Engineered flooring cannot be sanded more than 1-3 times (depending on the thickness of the finish layer). Professional Sanding Recommended Because of the low tolerance for failure with sanding engineered wood, I seriously recommend that you have a professional do the sanding. It is very easy to gouge your engineered wood floor, revealing the plywood underneath.
