This product is a chalkiness powder with water absorbing performance and slight formic acid odor ,soluble in water ,glycerol ,slightly soluble in ethanol ,not soluble in ether .Its melting point is 253 .
Application
1.Mainly applied to the manufacture of formic acid and oxalic acid ,as well as to the manufacture of dimethyl formamide .
2.Sodium formate drilling fluid system is a kind of drilling & completion fluid system that has semipermeable membrane effect. It can form solid-free drilling mud system with other chemical additives in petroleum drilling. It can make the mud be in high density and low viscosity, raise the drilling speed, protect the oil-gas layer, resist landslide and prolong the service life of the bit and the well.
