Zinc oxide is an inorganic compound with the formula ZnO. It usually appears as a white powder, nearly insoluble in water. The powder is widely used as an additive into numerous materials and products including plastics, ceramics, glass, cement, rubber (e.g., car tyres), lubricants, [2] paints, ointments, adhesives, sealants, pigments, foods (source of Zn nutrient), batteries, ferrites, fire retardants, first aid tapes, etc. ZnO is present in the Earth's crust as the mineral zincite; However, most ZnO used commercially is produced synthetically. Appearance Pure White Powder PACKING: 25kgs net in PP bags X 40 for palate, PE plastic packing INTRODUCTION: Activated zinc oxide is produced via chemical method, and it has excellent uniform dispersion and this property is much better than that of zinc oxide produced by traditional dry method. The vulcanization of activated zinc oxide is also much better than that of zinc oxide via dry method. It not only reduces the stiffness, but also uses as an enhancer to improve vulcanization during rubber manufactures. Properties of activated zinc oxide: A. Increase the tolerance of rubber tear and improve rubber's elasticity B. Increase tensile strength and improve the strength to resist cracks C. The period of vulcanization is longer, and reduce the damages from over or under vulcanization and produce better vulcanized rubbers D. Prevent deformation during vulcanization to avoid crack and the penetration of white powder to the surface E. When combination of NEOPRENE, significantly improve the adhesive strength in the beginning stage of process and no separation of adhesive to extend the preservation period F. Use with emulsifiers can improve the uniformity of emulsification and increase the elasticity of emulsifiers.
