The section of groove steel is I-shaped sliver of steel products. It is presented by height (h) ×width (b) ×thickness (d) in mm, e.g. I 160*88*6, indicated that waist highest is 160 millimeters, leg width is 88 millimeters, waist thickness is 6 millimeters I steel. The I-steel specification also can be indicated with model, model refers to waist highest(cm), like I 16#.If they have the same waist highest, several kinds of different leg width and waists thick also can be distinguished by a b c on the right side of the model, such as 32a# 32b# 32c# and so on.
I steel includes Hot rolled I steel (GB1263-89) and I steel for welding (YB3302-81). The shape of its section is reasonable, mechanics performance is good.
