Detailed Description
Description T809B is a copolymer of high carbon alcohol esters. When added into oil, it can effectively reduce the freezing point and improves low temperature fluidity. This product has nice sensitivity to the low-wax base oil, therefore, it is a special purpose pour point depressant for blending multi-grade oils with multi-grade, low viscosity and fine low temperature performance. Special features ■ Excellent pour point depressing effect for low-wax base oils. Add 0.5m% into dewaxed base oils (hydrogenated), the pour point depression is more than 20 degrees Celsius. ■ Significant improvement on the low temperature fluidity of dewaxed base oil. Applications Used for blending multi-grade and low pour point multi-grade oil with low kv such as 5W/30, 5W/40, 10W/40, 10W/50, 15W/40 The dosage: 0.1-0.5% Characteristics Item Typical value Density (20oC), (ASTM D1298), kg/m3 950 Flash point (COC), (ASTM D92), oC 170 Kinematic viscosity (100oC), (ASTM D445), mm2/s 650 Pour point depression*, (ASTM D97), oC 20.0 *The pour point depression is obtained when 0.5m% T809B is added into hydrogenated base oils with a freezing point no higher than -17oC and viscosity(100oC) at 5mm2/s.
