RHIZOMA ATRACTYLODIS MACROCEPHALAE/ATRACTYLODES is dry rhizome of Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz, which is washed after winter excavation when the lower leaves turns yellow, upper leaves turns crisp, removed sediment, dried, and removed the fibrous root.
Nature and Flavour and Channel entry: bitter, sweet flavor, warm in nature, entrying the channel of spleen and stomach meridian.
Functions and Indications: invigorating the spleen, removing dampness, miscarriage prevention. Used mainly in the treatment of spleen vacuity and reduced eating, lear stool and diarrhea, phlegm-rheum dizziness , edema, night sweating, painful fetal movement.
