Description: It is a butyl ester of the L(+) lactic acid that derives from bio-fermentation of sugar like carbohydrate. It is a colorless transparent liquid. It is soluble in ethanol, aether, acetone, esters and some other organic solvents, and it is partly soluble in water.
Application: Featured in high optical purity and applied as initial raw material of the production of chiral pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals.
