10. Lithium Aluminum Alloy Powder 10.1 Basic Information of Product Use:Anode of Primary Lithium Battery Chemical Composition:20±1% Lithium, Remainder aluminum Appearance:Silvery-white Powder Specification:□-40 mesh □-60mesh □-80mesh □-100mesh □-200mesh Package: Sealed in grinding bottle with Argon gas and then put into iron can which is filled with foam and shipped in wooden box. Package Specification:□125mL grinding bottle □250mL grinding bottle 10.2 Safety/Handling/Storage Flammable solid. Water reactive. Reacts violently with water to give off corrosive dust and flammable hydrogen gas. Spontaneous combustion in humid air. Corrosive to eyes, skin, nose, throat and stomach. Can be handled in open atmosphere at room temperature, either coated with mineral oil or where relative humidity is maintained below 50%. To maintain best quality, humidity level of less than 2% is recommended. Wear safety glasses or goggles and dry rubber gloves. Store in original unopened shipping package. Once opened, sealed with paraffin. Keep away from water, humid air, acids and oxidizing materials. Keep way from heat, sparks and flame. 10.3 Product property 1、Lithium aluminum alloy powder can react with atmospheric moisture, oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide of the air. It can self-ignite in humid air. The main production after burning in the air is Lithia and alumina. Lithia can form lithium hydroxide after absorbing water. 2、React violently with water and form hydrogen which can burn and explode under some certain conditions and lithium hydroxide. 3、React violently when contacting acid and halogen. 4、The product burns easily and explodes when comes into contact with ignition source or impact during the course of shipping and using.
