Chemical name: N-Phenyl-2-naphthylamine Molecular formula: C16H13N Molecular weight: 219.29 Properties: pure compound is a needle crystal, easily soluble in ether, benzene and other organic solvents. It is gradually turned into grayish red on the exposure to air and light, but there is no effect on its properties. Specifications: Appearance: greyish white to grayish red powder or flakes Melting point: 105℃ min Moisture: 0.2% max Ash: 0.2% max Aniline: not show violet reaction in qualitative test residue on sieve (100 mesh, 0.15 mm): 0.20% max Use: an antioxidant widely used for rubber processing industry which manufactures tyres, shoes, tubes and other black rubber products.
