Setting
Open the protect lid on the back of instrument, the display panel and control operation buttons appear.
● How to lock the operation buttons: (图三: Illustration 3)
In order to avoid wrong operation from irrespective people, the buttons can be locked. Under normal condition, press “set” button, display panel flashes; Press and hold the “set” button, then press and hold “▲”, then press “▼” three times continuously till “OFF” displays. Then free all buttons. Press “▲” or “▼” till “ON” appears; At last press “set” button, all buttons are locked.
● How to unchain the lock setting:
Press and hold “▲”, then press “▼” three times continuously till “OFF” displays. The locked buttons are free now.
● How to adjust the warning temperature:
Under normal condition, without locking buttons, press “set” till display panel flashes. Now it is ready to set warning temperature. Press “▲” or “▼” to adjust the warning temperature, press “set” button and the setting is finished. Warning temperature is generally set to be 36°C (approx. equals to body temperature of 38°C), the user can increase or decrease it according to the actual environment temperature.
4. Direction For Usage (图4: Illustration 4)
1) Supply with the infrared thermometer with AC 220V and turn on the power button on the back. The green light is turned on. Before measuring, warm up the instrument for twenty minutes.
2) The person to be measured shall stand on the foot marks in front of the instrument facing the instrument for three seconds, the distance shall not exceed 45cm. (as per Illustration 4)
3) If the measured temperature exceeds the set warning temperature (such as 36°C), the instrument alarms and the red light switches on.
Precaution
a) The person to be measured shall not wear hat or cover the forehead with something, but can wear a respirator.
b) Shut off the power supply if not used for over one hour.
c) If any other hot object or component (such as moving luggage, circumrotating axes, hand with luggage, decoration with reflector, lamp and etc.) appears in the scanning area, it can interfere with the instrument and lead to an alarm.
Maintenance
When used or stored, prevent the instrument from:
1) Electromagnetic field caused by welding or sensory heater.
2) Statics
3) Heat impact (from sudden change of temperature or temperature changes a lot)
4) High temperature objects.
