M5437 SHREK THE THIRD In Shrek the Third, the Frog King is dying and needs an heir to the throne. Reluctant Shrek and his pals go on an adventure to find Artie, the only surviving heir to Far, Far Away. Now you can go on an adventure with the big green ogre with Shrek the Third on Game Boy Advance. Based on the hit summer computer animated film, Shrek on GBA is a 2-D platform jumping adventure. Guide Shrek and his friends past obstacles and enemies. Each hero has their own abilities and skills. Shrek uses his ogre strength to pick up heavy objects and butt bounce through floors. Donkey can kick down doors and other obstacles. Puss N Boots uses his sword to attack and can climb walls. And Artie blocks projectiles with his shield and can toss it to hit long distance enemies and switches. Use teamwork and solve puzzles by switching between characters to get everyone to the goal. Collect fairies and other magical ingredients so Merlin can grant your team even more special moves and abilities. Graphics look about as good as they can on the small screen, and fit the theme of the movie nicely. Play control is easy and self explanatory for the most part. As a special treat for fans of DreamWorks' other computer animated pictures, sometimes animals from Madagascar and Over the Hedge give Shrek and company advice. While it doesn't try anything innovative or revolutionary, Shrek the Third on GBA is a fun and clever little movie adventure for young fans of the series.
