Detailed Description
Advanced ceramics provides the perfect solution and a cost-effective, high performance alternative to traditional materials such as metals, plastics and glass. In general terms, advanced ceramics exhibits exceptional properties that make them highly resistant to melting, bending, stretching, corrosion or wear. Their hardness, physical stability, extreme heat resistance, chemical inertness, biocompatibility, superior electrical properties and, not least, their suitability for use in mass produced products make them one of the most versatile groups of materials in the world. SSYTT can also supply with ceramic products, which are made of alumina, zirconia, silicon nitride, carborundum, etc., to customers operating in the petrolic, chemical, mechanical, automotive, textile, military, medical, aerospace, semiconductor, telecommunications, thermal management, domestic product and processing equipment industries. 1) Alumina (Al2O3) is the most widely used advanced ceramic material. It offers very good performance in terms of wear resistance, corrosion resistance and strength at a reasonable price. Its high dielectric properties are beneficial in electronic products. 2) Zirconia (ZrO2) has the highest strength and toughness at room temperature of all the advanced ceramic materials. The fine grain size allows for extremely smooth surfaces and sharp edges. 3) Silicon nitride (Si3N4) exceeds other ceramic materials in thermal shock resistance. It also offers an excellent combination of low density, high strength, low thermal expansion and good corrosion resistance and fracture toughness. 4) Carborundum (SiC) has the highest corrosion resistance of all the advanced ceramic materials. It also retains its strength at temperatures as high as 1400°C and offers excellent wear resistance and thermal shock resistance.
