Active Slope Protection Mesh | Galvanized Hexagonal & Steel Rope Rockfall Net

Active slope protection mesh restrains loose rock on cut slopes, tunnel portals and mountain roads, as part of full rockfall prevention systems with hexagonal wire mesh, steel rope nets, support ropes and anchor fittings. Available materials: hot-dipped galvanized, Galfan and PVC coated wire. Standard hexagonal wire diameters: 2.7mm and 3.0mm with 60×80mm and 80×100mm openings. 7×19 galvanized steel rope net with diameters from 7.0mm to 8.0mm, tensile strength 1770MPa. Mesh rolls come in 25m or 30m length and 0.8–3.0m width, matched with 12mm or 16mm support ropes and full installation hardware. Widely applied to traffic roads, mines and hydropower slopes. All specifications adjustable per construction drawings.

Active slope protection mesh fixes loose rock on cut slopes, mountain road sides and tunnel portals to stop rockfall hazards. The full system consists of double-twist hexagonal wire mesh, steel rope nets, support cables, ground anchors, rope clips and sewing ropes. General slope stabilization adopts 2.7mm or 3.0mm hexagonal mesh; steep slopes with massive loose rocks add 7×19 steel rope reinforcement nets. All products are delivered in rolls for on-site laying. Final mesh size, cable diameter and anchor spacing must follow official slope construction drawings.

Application

Highway Cut Slopes

For mountain highway side slopes to contain scattered loose stones, galvanized hexagonal mesh works for most regular slope stabilization projects.

Railway & Tunnel Portal Slopes

Fit railway cutting slopes and tunnel entrances. Steel rope nets are selected for slopes with large unstable rock blocks to enhance protection capacity.

Mine & Quarry Slopes

For open pit mines, quarry facades and temporary excavation slopes. Thick steel rope nets and heavy-duty support cables are used for steep rock faces.

Hydropower & Valley Roads

Suits humid valley roads and reservoir surrounding slopes. Galfan or PVC coated mesh is preferred for long-term anti-corrosion performance under high humidity.
