Steel Bar Grating

We supply pressure welded steel bar grating made of carbon steel and stainless steel. Available in plain smooth and serrated anti-slip surfaces with multiple standard G model codes. Standard surface treatment includes hot dipped galvanizing for outdoor anti-rust use. Custom cutting, edge banding and punching services are supported. Our grating panels are widely used for industrial platforms, stair treads, drainage trench covers and factory equipment flooring.

Steel bar grating is pressure-welded panels formed by load bearing bars interlocked with twisted cross bars. It serves as industrial walkways, working platforms, stair treads, drainage trench covers and equipment flooring. Load bearing bars take vertical loads and must align with the support span direction; cross bars lock bearing bars in place to maintain structural stability. Plain bearing bars work well for dry indoor spaces, while serrated bearing bars deliver anti-slip performance for wet, oily or outdoor locations. We supply carbon steel grating in raw black finish, painted coating and hot-dip galvanized coating, as well as stainless steel grating built to customer drawings.

Specifications

Material: Mild carbon steel and stainless steel. Hot-dip galvanized carbon steel is the standard pick for outdoor platforms and trench drainage covers.

Bearing Bar Sizes: Standard stock sizes: 20×3mm, 25×3mm, 32×3mm, 40×3mm, 20×5mm, 25×5mm, 32×5mm, 40×5mm, 45×5mm, 50×5mm, 55×5mm, 60×5mm.

Bearing Bar Pitch: Standard center distances: 30mm, 40mm, 60mm. Custom pitches including 25mm, 33.5mm, 37.5mm and 50mm are available for special projects.

Cross Bar Pitch: Standard options 50mm and 100mm. Custom spacing like 25mm, 38mm, 50.8mm, 76mm and 101.6mm can be manufactured on request.

Surface Type: Plain smooth bearing bar or serrated anti-slip bearing bar. Serrated grating is recommended for all wet walking areas.

Panel Size: All panels cut to customer drawings. Max transport length for carbon steel raw panels sits at 6100mm; all dimensions adjusted to fit container and truck limits.

Surface Treatment: Raw black steel without coating, paint sprayed finish, hot-dip galvanized coating, natural mill finish for stainless steel.

Custom Fabrication: Straight cutting, full edge banding, toe plate welding, notch cutting, punching holes, stair tread side plate welding and fully customized panel shapes.

Grating Code Rule: Take G325/30/100 as an example: 32×5mm bearing bar, 30mm bearing bar center pitch, 100mm cross bar center pitch.

Installation Accessories: Saddle grating clips, fixing bolts, on-site welding, stair front nosing strips, side guard plates and metal support frames.

Production Standards: Manufacture complying with YB/T 4001.1 or ANSI/NAAMM MBG standards as specified by clients.
