There are several key differences between rental LED screens and regular LED screens:
1. Purpose and application scenarios:
Rental LED display are mainly used for short-term events, such as stage, performances, exhibitions, weddings, sports events, etc. This type of screen usually supports quick installation and removal. Regular LED screens are mostly used for fixed installations, such as shopping malls, billboards, traffic signs, etc., and are usually used for a long time.
2. Design and construction:
Rental LED screens are designed to be more portable and quick to install, and are usually modular in design for easy disassembly and assembly. Their shell materials are lighter for easier handling. Regular LED screens may have a more stable structure, suitable for long-term placement, and do not require frequent disassembly.
3. Durability and maintenance:
Due to the frequent handling and use of rental LED display, these screens usually require better durability in design and materials to withstand the wear and tear of transportation and installation. Regular LED screens generally have lower maintenance costs due to their stability and long service life.
4. Cost:
Rental LED display are relatively cheap to rent, but activities with high frequency of use may result in higher overall costs. Conventional LED display screens have a high one-time purchase cost, but may be more cost-effective in the long run.

The receiving card of the rental screen does not come with an adapter board. The connection between the module and the receiving card is made through the signal PCB adapter board. Such a rental LED display is called a hard-wired rental LED display.
The purpose of this is to reduce the space thickness of the rental LED display cabinet, improve the connection reliability between the receiving card and the rental LED display, and reduce failures caused by unstable signal line connection. The disadvantage is that the manufacturing cost of the rental LED display designed in this way is significantly increased.
The receiving card of the rental screen comes with an adapter board. This type of receiving card only needs to connect the HUB interface of the receiving card to the LED cabinet module through a signal cable. Because the receiving card and the module need to be connected through a signal cable, and the signal cable is soft, it is called a soft-connected rental LED display as the name suggests.
The advantage is that the cost of the rental LED display produced and designed in this way is relatively low. The disadvantage is that the signal anti-interference ability of the LED display is poor, resulting in unstable LED display signal.
In the LED module selection of rental LED display screens, there are generally two standard sizes to choose from, namely 250*250 mm and 500*250 mm. The combination of these two modules makes it easy to configure 500*500 mm and 500*1000 mm rental LED display screens. This flexibility fully meets the needs of different occasions and activities.
And 500*500 and 500*1000 cabinets can also be used in combination at will. This flexible combination not only improves the use effect, but also saves costs and improves the overall benefits of the event.
The LED cabinet size of rental LED display screens is usually 500mm*500mm and 500mm*1000mm, which is convenient for customers to freely splice rental LED display screens of various sizes. Conventional fixed installations are all waterproof boxes with heavy structures. Simple boxes are also used for indoor use.
For rental LED display screens, die-cast aluminum boxes are usually used. The structure is light and thin, the stability is high, and it is convenient to install and disassemble at any time. It is suitable for holding concerts and stage performances.
The module mask of the rental LED display is specially designed to protect the LED lamp beads. It has modular characteristics and is easy to replace and adjust on site. The mask adopts a light trap design, which can effectively absorb external light and reduce the “whitewashing” effect. The unique shape helps to drain water and prevent rain and snow from affecting vision.
The material is PC+10%GF, with anti-UV and flame retardants added, and the flame retardant level reaches 94-U0. It is strong and UV-resistant. The surface is sprayed with high-temperature matte black oil to prevent reflection and ensure consistent screen color
Rental LED screens are usually used in real-time performances, so the control system of rental LED screens usually uses a synchronous LED screen system and a video processor. If the rental LED screen is a super large area LED screen, a video splicer and a video console are required.
The synchronous control system brands of rental LED screens include Nova system, Lingxingyu control system, and Mosier control system.
The driver IC used in rental LED displays usually includes dual latch chips and PWM chips.
The dual latch chip has a refresh rate of up to 1920, which meets the requirements of high refresh rate and high brightness, but the display effect is poor when taking photos with mobile phones, and the production cost is low.
The PWM chip has a refresh rate of up to 3840Hz or 7680Hz, which is the best for shooting videos, but the production cost is high.
