China [CN] RILICO Plywood is a material made from slim layers or "plies" of wood veneer that are glued together with adjacent layers having their wood grain rotated up to 90 degrees to each other. It is an engineered wood from the household of manufactured boards which include medium-density fibreboard (MDF) as well as fragment board (chipboard).
All plywoods bind resin as well as wood fiber sheets (cellulose cells are long, strong as well as slim) to form a composite product. This alternation of the grain is called cross-graining and also has several vital advantages: it minimizes the propensity of wood to divide when toenailed at the edges; it reduces expansion and contraction, offering boosted dimensional security; and it makes the strength of the panel constant throughout all instructions.
