Definition of Francis Hydro Turbine, History of Francis Hydro turbine Francis water turbine was invented by a British-American engineer. His name was James Bicheno Francis, he was born in May18, 1815, and passed away in Sep 18,1892, James B Francis was born in South Leigh, near Witney, Oxfordshire in England, United Kingdom, he began his engineer in the age of 14 as his father working in railway South Wales.
