This is achieved by means of tie rod restraints that connect a line bellows with an opposed balanced bellows also subjected to line pressure. Generally, to use bellows type of expansion joint, it is needed to install fixed point that receive thrust force of internal pressure. In case of large diameter and high pressure, it is difficult to install fixed point according to the place.
